ELECTION MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE BUILT FOR ELECTION OFFICES

Our storyBuilt by people who understand what's at stake

BallotDA was not created in a lab. It was shaped alongside election teams, in real counties, working through real challenges and with inputs from Election Administrators and Supervisors.

From the beginning, our focus has been simple. Understand how elections actually run. Identify where processes break down. Build tools that solve those problems without adding complexity.

We started by working closely with county election offices to support Poll Worker Management, training, and communication. It quickly became clear that these challenges were not isolated. The same teams were managing Asset Management, absentee workflows, voter inquiries, FOIA / Open Records, and compliance, often across disconnected systems.

What began as a targeted solution evolved into something broader: A single platform designed to support the full election lifecycle.

As we expanded, we continued to stay close to the people doing the work. Feedback from election directors, staff, and field teams shaped every module we built. Whether it was improving visibility into Election Day operations, managing Advance In-Person (AIP / Early Voting), Asset Management, simplifying FOIA / Open Records tracking, or helping teams respond faster to voter questions, each step forward came from real operational needs.

We describe the platform as intelligent, not because of the technology alone, but because it is built to anticipate the challenges election teams face and help them respond with clarity and confidence.

Our goal is not just to provide software. It is to help election teams walk into every election prepared, coordinated, and in control.

We continue to build the same way we started, by listening, learning, and solving the problems that matter most.

"The thing most county directors tell us in the first call isn’t ‘I need software.’ It’s ‘I just need to feel prepared going into early voting and election day. It’s about knowing everything is in place, teams are prepared, and nothing will fall through the cracks.’"

OUR JOURNEY

From a single county to a growing national platform

2015

Sonline LLC Founded

Sonline began building digital solutions for complex operational environments across the public sector, including state and local government agencies, education, and small businesses. From day one, the mission was to bring enterprise-grade efficiency to government workflows through scalable software solutions and system integrations.

2017

CTO Consulting and Government Technology Integrations

We partnered with agencies such as Paulding County, GA, City of Yarmouth, MA, and Lowndes County, GA, supporting critical technology initiatives as an extended IT team. Our work included database architecture, API integrations, and workflow automation, building a strong foundation in government technology consulting and digital transformation.

2020

Entry into Election Technology

Following the 2020 presidential election, we began working with metro Atlanta election offices to support absentee ballot tracking and reporting. This marked our entry into election technology and election operations support systems.

2021

BallotDA Election Operations Platform Launches

The first core modules of BallotDA, a modern election management software platform, went live. Engagements at GAVREO helped us identify the growing need for tools such as Poll Worker Management and Asset Management. Douglas County, GA became our first customer.

2022

Poll Worker Attendance, Payroll, and Kiosk Solutions

BallotDA expanded to include poll worker attendance tracking, payroll management, and operational handoffs. Our virtual kiosk introduced a streamlined alternative to manual processes and hardware-based systems, improving efficiency for election day operations.

2023

Comprehensive Election Management Suite

BallotDA evolved into a full election operations platform covering precinct management, poll worker self-service portals, FOIA / Open Records, and election workflow automation. This positioned BallotDA as a comprehensive solution for end-to-end election administration.

2024

Multi-State Expansion and Election Partnerships

BallotDA expanded beyond Georgia into Florida, collaborating with the Florida Supervisors of Elections and supporting multiple jurisdictions. This phase strengthened our position as a trusted election technology partner across states.

2025

AI-Powered Election Intelligence Layer

We introduced an AI-powered layer designed for election administration, including policy guidance tools, voter engagement platforms, and intelligent support systems. These capabilities help election officials navigate complex regulations and improve voter communication across all 50 states.

Now

A National Platform for Election Administration

Today, BallotDA is a growing national election management platform, helping county and state election leaders run more prepared, efficient, and transparent elections. The introduction of Nadia, our AI-powered digital assistant, marks the next step in transforming election operations and voter engagement.

OUR VALUES

What drives every decision we make

01

Elections before everything

Every feature, every product decision, every support call is filtered through one question: does this make elections run better for the officials managing them and the voters depending on them?

02

Honest about what we know

Election administration is a specialized, high-stakes discipline. We work alongside election officials, not above them. Our expertise is technology. Theirs is elections.

03

Available when it matters most

Anyone can provide good support on a slow Tuesday. Our commitment is to be reachable and effective on the days that actually count: from the 72-hour push to 11pm on election night.

04

Built to last

Election offices don't change vendors easily, and they shouldn't have to. We build for longevity, document everything, and design our platform so that it gets better every election cycle.

05

Simple enough for election day

If a poll worker with minimal technology experience can't use it at 5am on election day, we haven't done our job. Simplicity, at scale, under pressure: that's our goal.

06

Nonpartisan by design

BallotDA serves Republican and Democratic counties with exactly the same product. Election integrity is not a political position. It's a professional obligation.
